This Week: A Bug Home Invasion
Description
What comes to mind when you think of bugs in your home? Most people imagine cockroaches or wood-devouring termites. But you might be surprised at the diversity—and number– that actually exists.
This week, Rob joins entomologists from the Nature Research Center in Raleigh, NC on a research excursion. Their mission? Collect and examine the various arthropods in peoples’ homes. As it turns out, they had some pretty amazing findings! But don’t worry, the insects living in our homes are actually a good thing. Check out the video to find out more, and inspire students to start looking for biodiversity in their own homes.
