Summary: The Language Central for Physical Science app can help you study in a more fun and engaging way for those tough science topics. It will help build your science vocabulary with a variety of study options including flashcards, trivia, quizzes, and games. It’s a much more interactive and engaging approach than just reading a textbook or using a standard workbook.
This app is recommended for students in grades 6 to 8.

What I liked: This is a simple app that lets you challenge yourself in ways that can really help the science material “stick.” The flashcards module helps with memorization of the vocabulary and terms. Once you master the flashcards, you can move on to the trivia and quiz section, which tests what you have learned from the flashcard module. And once you are ready, you can move on to Word Fly, a game that is geared around physical science vocabulary and questions. It’s a great interactive piece, and I even found myself playing it a little longer than I expected! It’s definitely a lighter approach to learning this subject.
What I didn’t like: Although I really enjoyed the Word Fly game, I would like to see other games incorporated for some variety. It would also be nice to be able to create your own flashcards, quiz questions, and words for the Word Fly game. That way, you can study exactly what your teacher is going to quiz or test you on instead of just using what the app has included.
Do I recommend this app?
I recommend Language Central for Physical Science if you are trying to learn vocabulary or some basic questions regarding physical science. I’d like to see an app or module within this app that is a stepping stone to the next level of learning physical science. Overall, the interface is clean, easy to use, and gets the job done.
