My First Halloween – Stories and Resources for the Classroom
![]() |
This year, I will celebrate my first Halloween. It’s not that I don’t like it; it’s just that I’ve recently moved from Paris to the United States. In France, we celebrate All Saints Day on the first of November, but Halloween is not a popular event. Being new in this country is a very fun experience and I like to talk about cultural differences, both the tiny everyday life differences and major events like Halloween. Until now, I didn’t know how exciting this holiday could be: Jack-o’-lanterns, decorated houses, preparation of the costumes, witch and zombie stories… All this buzz about Halloween really makes me want to be part of it! It’s never too late to start celebrating it.
