Whether it’s creating a music video, producing an original miniseries, or documenting the world around them, students are increasingly using video as a method for self expression and as a means to demonstrate their understanding of the lessons they’ve learned in school.
That’s why we’re excited to announce a new partnership between Pearson OLE and SchoolTube to provide OLE subscribers with the best videos from teachers and students from around the country. SchoolTube videos are now included as part of all of the OLE Science courses with Social Studies courses following closely thereafter. SchoolTube is the nation’s largest K–12 video sharing platform with members from over 40,000 schools.
SchoolTube’s mission is to empower students and teachers through the use of video with a safe and fun platform. Endorsed by over a dozen national education associations, SchoolTube has unparalleled access to schools across the country. All videos go through SchoolTube’s moderation process to ensure all content is safe for schools.
As one of OLE’s partners, SchoolTube will be working with us to provide free videos on our blog every two weeks for our readers. The featured videos will be accessible within OLE to current subscribers, but also available to our blog readers for free.
Every two weeks, we will post a new video along with a short description and ideas for students to submit their own videos on our OLE Community SchoolTube channel.
This is a great way to get a peek into some of the quality content that’s part of OLE. Take a look at the first of our new SchoolTube Video series. We hope you are as impressed as we are with the creativity and hard work that students and teachers put into their videos.

About SchoolTube
SchoolTube.com is the nation’s largest K–12 video sharing site. Our mission is to empower students and teachers through the use of video with a safe and fun platform. Endorsed by over a dozen national education associations, SchoolTube.com has unparalleled access into schools across the country. SchoolTube’s network reaches hundreds of thousands of users each day with its student videos approved and uploaded by a verified educator, or contributed by a trusted content partner.
SchoolTube’s founders saw the need for a moderated video sharing site specifically designed for students and teachers. With all other video sites allowing anyone to upload anything, they predicted that districts and schools would restrict access to them. They were right. As technology improves and becomes more accessible, new content creators are born, making SchoolTube more relevant each day.
